UX Designer
January 2019 — May 2019

My Role
My role at Wunderman Thompson consisted of generating creative solutions to complex problems for a variety of clients and products. I worked under Stuart Thom and Kawal Singh where I specialized in researching, creating personas, use cases, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and presentation decks.
Projects
Throughout my contract at Wunderman Thompson, I had worked on various projects at different stages of development. As I have signed an NDA I cannot share the company names or work. I worked with...

  • One of Canada's largest meat suppliers website.
  • One of Canada's largest car manufacturers website and advertisements.
  • One of Canada's largest toy stores.
  • A worldwide charity branding and website.
  • A Canadian Marijuana supplier website.
  • A new vape companies website.
  • An environmentally friendly solar light company.
  • And many more...
What I Learned
My time at Wunderman Thompson taught me about the importance of understanding the most basic and complex user needs and how to creatively think of solutions that offer both functionality and ease of use.

Working under Stuart Thom was a true inspiration as I have never met someone who thinks so analytically about every decision, action, and error a user can make and how to prevent a bad user experience. He taught me to think more analytically about understanding user needs and pain points and helped me develop high-level critical thinking skills I will take with me in my next design role.

The projects I worked on with Stuart varied day to day and always offered a time sensitive problem that needed solving. Working with a variety of companies from food companies to toy stores to marijuana suppliers, I learned not only how to understand many different user needs but also how to interact with clients in a professional manner.
